New Zealand born creative, currently residing in Portland, Oregon.

I apply user-centered design thinking to a variety of creative mediums and design outputs. My work spans disciplines with outputs focused on process, making, interaction and meaning. I'm constantly learning new skills to communicate ideas; whether it be physical, digital, photo, film or interactive.

Curious + hungry. Creative problem solver. Thinker + Doer. Experimentalist.

Outside of design, I fill my life with a passion for mountain biking, snowboarding, travel, outdoor adventures and music.

My past experience involved a background in Architecture (Bachelors Degree and internships) and then a shift to Industrial Design (Post-Graduate Diploma).

I have experience in ID research roles (experimental digital manufacturing, parametric design customization) as well as professional studio work (furniture, user research, strategy, 3D modeling, fabrication) and private consulting. This gives me an understanding of how users respond to design interventions as well as how to actually make things.

Currently I'm looking for a new role as an experience/object designer in an inspiring team in Portland, Oregon.

Over the past year I worked with Cinco Design in Portland as an Environments Designer set on distilling engaging original experiences for innovative brands such as Nike, Smith Optics and Electronic Arts.

My primary 3D CAD expertise is in Solidworks, Sketchup and Keyshot plus Rhino/Grasshopper. I have robust skills in Adobe CS.

One of my greatest strengths and interests is the hands on making aspect of design - I have hand made prototypes for 10 years and have used CNC routers, Lathes, lasers and 3D Printing technologies for the past 3 years. I have substantial knowledge of current advances in fabrication technology as well as cultural trends and design aesthetics.

Photography, graphic design and some UI/web design feature across my process for all projects I work on.
